SMA Power Control Module PWCMOD-10 remote-controlled active power limitation according to EEG 2012

Due to the amendment of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), PV systems have had to meet grid integration requirements since the beginning of 2012. These are ensured by the SMA Power Control Module as a multifunctional interface, as it enables the implementation of grid system services for an inverter. For example, The SMA Power Control Module enables remote-controlled active power limitation with levels of 0, 30, 60 and 100 percent of the inverter output. The device also has a multi-function relay that can be used as a fault or operating indicator, to control external consumers or to charge a battery .

Technical data: For installation in the inverter, max. switching voltage 30 VDC, max. switching current 1.0 A, connection terminal with 3-pin plug, protection class according to 60529: IP20, required protection class of the inverter according to IEC 60629: IP65, dimensions: width 58 mm, height 115 mm, depth 31 mm, operating temperature -25°C - +85°C, max. altitude above sea level 3000m. A maximum of 5 Power Control Modules can be connected in parallel.
